Pantene meets Mona Lisa

You can do everything with your hair if you have Pantene product!! Damaged hair which Mona Lisa had before, has changed to volumed and glossy hair by using Pantene product. Using master piece which everyone in the world know, Pantene made the advertisement to give somehow funny but showing the differences. Maybe, I need to try one very soon..haha

Shiori Matsumoto

This painting is creation of Japanese artist, Shiori Matsumoto. All of this pictures contain a child but all of their faces look very depressed and dark which makes the painting itself as dark and depress. However, all the paintings have its charm without a reason. I do not know why I like these ones and artist of it but let me just say that I like the atmosphere of these.

Adoption campaign

This image is the campaign of adoption to show by adoption, people will recieve more than they can ever give. In order to provide this theme, they made childeren bigger than adult to symbolize love of children and the adult that they have. I love this advertisement because it provides the theme and purpose clearly and by using original idea to make audience interesting.

Flexible toothbrush

This image shows good combination of image and real object. The main topic of Dr.Best's advertisement is flexible toothbrush so that they attached it with flexible bus to create the image to be more realistic but not just showing the image. I think this idea is very brilliant to provide information of special feature and pass it to audiences.

Unbalance

Be honest, I have no idea where this image came from and the purpose of the image. However, if we use this unbalance mood to create advertisement or artwork(obviously this image is not for the Ipod advertisement but more like anti Ipod), it can give big impact to the audience to help them memorize or find the purpose of it. The person who is backward in civilization hold gun with right hand and ipod with left hand create...let me say...weird mood with very big impact. Threrefore, this unbalance effect can be used in various ways.

Mandala

This image is my first illustrator work in semester 1. I am still not really good at using illustrator and photoshop but back then, I had no idea at all with these softwares. Therefore, I spent a lot of time to create this image. I inspired by Korean traditional patterns for creating this mandala.

Cycling

This image is creation of well known Japanese artist, Yoshimoto banana. When I saw this image, I was quite shock that using the sequence of repeating event creates very impressive meaning. I understand this image as love. This love can be love between man and woman, love between family or friends. And how hard and strong the pain is, it is cure-able.

Difference b/t Woman and Man

Difference between Woman and Man?

Yeah, there are a lot

like we cannot even count them because all the people have different personality

but the biggest difference is like the image above...

We are very or too much different!!

Loneliness

These three images contain one same mood
which is loneliness
and now, I am desperately lonely.

Weather in Art works

There are many ways to analyze painting such as color or drawing techniques but I seperate the painting by weather. These paintings contain various kinds of weather such as sunny, raining, or snowing. It is obvious that drawing techniques and colors are important to create the mood or quality of the painting but according to the weather itself, every important aspect of art work changes. Therefore, I think it is important and quite interesting to think about the relationship of weather in art works and purpose of artists.

the Mona Risa

One of the most famous painting of Da Vinci is the Mona Lisa which used Golden Ratio. We can find the golden ratio from various ways such as nature, art as well as in our life. Throughout history, people's opinions of beauty and elegance have been based on a balance of proportions. Some one already mesured the ratio of the height of the face to the width.

LEGO advertisement

Lego, the most well known toy around the world, helps children to gain imaginative power by playing with plastic bricks. These three advertisements provide productive imagination by showing simple brick with real object. These advertisements contain simple background color and focused object with large negative space for reader to focus on the product and meaning of the advertisement.

Optical illusion

It is always interesting to look and think about optical illusion. It is very clever that by putting colors and shape in the right place make various kinds of optical illusion to human eyes. However, I do not really enjoy it because it gives me a headache.

Subliminal advertising

When I was studying DIM1 course, I had a presentation about subliminal advertisement. I was talking about what it is and advantage of using subliminal factor in the advertisement by providing images of it. At that time, all of images(advertisement) included sexual factor by putting text or drawing. It was very interesting to know about it and present it in front of class.

However, like FedEx logo beside, subliminal advertising was not all about putting sexual factors into the advertisement to attract audience but putting 'arrow' symbol between the E and X to show speed and precision.

Mekong Delta

This picture is what I took two years ago when I visited Mekong delta. I love taking picture especially sky in Vietnam because it is hard to find clear sky in Seoul, Korea for the reason of pollution. This picture is my favorite picture because of the color of the scene and the balance between river and the sky as well as the boat.

Angel and Devil

What do you SEE??
Maybe I am not nice enough to find angel instead of devil firstly

Perrier advertisement

This images are well known advertisement of Perrier which I found very interesting point of view. This images connect the image on the T-shirt with bottle of Perrier to show how people want is desperately by using facial expression or the famouse image.

Yoshitomo Nara

Esthetic of NEGATIVE space

Lee We-soo
Hwa sun ji(drawing paper)

This piece is absolute example to show esthetic of negative space.
Actually, I did not really like the blank space of the image, therefore I kept trying to cover up the all the spaces left on the image because for me, blank space meant putting less effort.
However, this piece shows me putting lots or less of effort to the pieces do not depends on the blank space and as short text on the bottom part of the piece tells, the blank space can be anything like blank space left becomes sky by drawing one bird.

Hwang Gyu-baek
Dam(Wall)

This piece also shows well about negative space with simple image of Korean traditional wall with flowers on the bottom. Some people may think that the negative space create lonely atmosphere but for me, negative space helps create rather warm mood by using light.

see BOTH sides of the story

Design can tell us lots of things such as politic, society or education but when we see the image,we often assume the meaning of image with each of their own opinion. However, this design which is on the wall of BBC building, shows the image of two different sidesto tell readers(audience) to not yet assume something before looking at two different or opposite side of the image or world. For example, the image of a military with a gun explains the war in Iraq. America started this war because they have an evidence that Iraq has chemicobiology weapon but as other side of war shows, the image tell readers that the war is for oil but future peace.
